At Neighborhood Glass & Door, we believe in clear communication and fair business practices. The following policies are in place to protect both our customers and our company.
1. Estimates & Authorization
- All work requires written approval (signed estimate, text confirmation, or email approval) before scheduling.
- Any changes to scope or materials may result in a revised price.
- Verbal approvals may be documented and treated as authorization to proceed.
- Payment of a deposit constitutes as acceptance of the estimate, scope of work, and all company policies
2. Payment Terms
- Payment is due in full upon completion of work, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- For custom glass, mirrors, shower doors, or special-order materials, payment in full or a deposit may be required before fabrication or installation.
- We accept cash, check, and approved electronic payment methods.
3. Rental Properties & Tenant-Hired Work
If you are a tenant or renter:
- You are personally responsible for payment unless the property owner or management company has provided written authorization agreeing to pay.
- We do not assume owner responsibility for tenant-requested work without written approval.
- We strongly recommend tenants obtain landlord or property manager approval before scheduling work.
4. Property Owner & Management Approval
- For work performed at rental or managed properties, we may request:
- Written owner or property manager authorization
- Confirmation of billing responsibility
- Lack of owner approval may limit available legal remedies in the event of non-payment.
5. Non-Payment & Collection
- Unpaid balances may be subject to:
- Service charges as allowed by law
- Collection efforts
- Legal action, including small claims or civil court
- Customer agrees to be responsible for reasonable collection costs, court fees, and service fees where permitted by law.
6. Mechanic’s Lien Rights (California)
- In accordance with California law, we reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies for non-payment.
- Mechanic’s lien rights may apply only when legally permissible, including when work is authorized by the property owner.
- Filing deadlines and eligibility are governed by California Civil Code.
7. Access & Site Conditions
- Customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area.
- Delays caused by lack of access, site readiness, or customer availability may result in rescheduling fees.
8. Warranty & Materials
- Manufacturer warranties apply where applicable.
- Glass is a fragile material; minor visual imperfections consistent with industry standards may occur.
- Damage caused after installation is not covered under warranty.
9. Cancellations
- Custom orders cannot be canceled once fabrication has begun.
- Standard service cancellations may require advance notice to avoid charges.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By approving an estimate or allowing work to proceed, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these policies and payment terms.
